Marsh retro-fit dry erase panels. Easy to mount dry erase replacement skins that are actually framed. These retro-fit boards are more than just a dry erase skin. They are made with 28-gauge porcelain steel dry erase boards mounted to a 1/4" rigid hardboard core with a Mylar backer and have an aluminum trim. The trim comes with pre-drilled installation holes.
Panels up to 16' (192") ship as a single panel. Custom sizes over 16' are available through customer service. Retrofit boards over 16' or 192" in length will ship as two pieces and be connected with a white painted H-bar in the center of the panel. Backed by a 50 year warranty on the writing surface.
No need to remove existing chalk tray or board. The system re-uses the chalk tray and avoids the labor and expense of removing existing boards. It also reduces the risk of discovering any type of Asbestos or other hidden hazards behind existing boards.
This product is made in the U.S.A. and ships from Ohio. This product is not eligible for our Free Freight Program.

1) How thick is this board including the aluminum framing? Is just the dry erase panel by itself 1/4" or is that the total thickness?
2) Do the 16 foot boards flex if you press on them (as while writing)?Â
I need a to replace a chalkboard in a high school classroom, and I'd like something that is sturdy. Thanks for your help!
Hi there!
1. The total thickness is 3/8’’ with the writing surface and backer.Â
2. The 16ft boards do not flex due to the solid core backer and they are drilled directly into the existing board they are resurfacing.
Hope that helps!Â
The screws that come with a retrofit board are only 1 inch long total. They are designed to go into the frame of the board underneath the new panel. They should only extend about 5/8" beyond the new panel into the frame below. Hope this helps. If you have further questions please feel free to call us at 1-866-366-1500
The installation instruction on these retrofit panels suggests using an adhesive like liquid nails between the retrofit board and the board it is replacing.Â
